A 30 year leader in the solar power market was losing market share to overseas competition during a challenging economy. Although the company had a long history, their organizational structures still functioned much like a start-up. The organization realized that its slow-moving bureaucratic structure was preventing growth and didn’t allow for them to be nimble and agile in the face of competition.
Passionately people focused. Our team stepped in and facilitated an 8-week intensive boot camp for the solar power C-level executives to fully understand their current state and what was needed to truly reach their company’s full potential –their future state.
Through strategic stakeholder interviews, focused workshops, critical feedback, and benchmarking of best practices in similar industries we revealed key gaps in organizational performance and issues around assessing talent. We made recommendations on a new organizational design that would allow the company to be agile. By creating alignment in the right places, they were able to operate more effectively throughout the organization, better allocate their resources, and have a clear strategic path to change.
